I made it!

Whenever I have the time to write in this blog, I end up not having enough energy to do so. A little update...

1. I made it to Montreal

2. My house is great

3. I have a great boyfriend, David, who I sadly had to leave back in Manitoba

4. I'm excited to see how God is going to use each member of the Harmonie program this year

There is so much more to tell, but I really do not have the nack for these blog things. I don't mind email though, so I will write more about my life in the big city via email.

Martin Destagnol

Tonight, I really wanted to converse in french with someone. I knew it wasn't going to happen tonight. God helped me come across someone's blog from France instead. This man's writing is so profound. He is carefully and deeply rooted in his thoughts. He writes much to do about music, litterature, and existance. He has an astounding way of combining his thoughts on these subjects and furthur explaining one thing by exemplifying from another subject. I am amazed at this man's ability to think. He wrote so much that I would love to share in english as well, but for now here are some quotes from him that I like.

"Ne pourrait-on pas dire que l'on a réussi sa vie si l'on a tout simplement appris à l'aimer?"
"Could we not say that we have succeeded in life if we have all simply learned to love?"

"Cela fait plus d'un mois que je n'ai pas écrit. Je ne vais pas dire que le temps me manquait, on trouve toujours le temps de faire les choses qui nous tiennent à coeur. Non. Si je n'ai pas écrit, c'est que je n'ai pas pris le temps de penser."
"It has been more than a month that I haven't written. I won't say that time has been lost, we always find time to do the things that tug at the heart. No. If I didn't write, it's because I hadn't taken the time to think."

I'll keep translating some of his words for I am now intrigued.

A solution to end the war

When Mother Teresa received her Nobel Prize,
she was asked the question, "What can we do to
promote world peace?" She replied...

"Go home and love your family."
